In Chapel Hill, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across North Carolina vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Went to pick up our Uhaul. Was met by one of the owners. She was very friendly to us and answered all of our questions. Thank you. And thank you for the eggs!

This garage is close to where I live, so I’ve gone there several times over the years. Unfortunately, this last visit was a deal breaker and one worth noting. The mechanic broke a carburetor I brought in β€” she put it in a vise, compressing the lower half until a piece snapped off. Instead of taking responsibility and offering to fix it, she told me she wasn’t liable for any damage to vehicles or parts brought in, which simply isn’t true. The carburetor was from the ’80s, but it was in excellent shape β€” no rust, well cared for. I later took it to two other mechanics, both of whom confirmed the vise marks and called it a rookie mistake. They said she should’ve fixed it. When I relayed that to her, she started yelling at me for several minutes without letting me respond. I understand her pride might’ve been hurt by the feedback, but a professional owns their mistakes. She broke it and refused to make it right. I won’t be going back, and I’d warn others β€” if they damage something, don’t expect them to fix it. They’ll just send you on your way too. There are plenty of other mechanics around that can do the work and would be much more professional and effective.

Dishonest, sleazy shop. Brought the truck in an hour before I was asked to bring it in, charged a $20 β€œafter hours fee”. Put 4 brand new couches in the back of the truck picked up all trash by hand and was charged $25 for a cleaning fee despite there being literally ZERO added dirtiness in any way. Take your business elsewhere, they are sleazy and WILL take advantage of you. Doesn’t seem that this is the first review saying this either

This is a dishonest shop. I would take caution when using this shop for renting U-haul trucks. They added an abundance of miles to my rental, which I thought was an easy mistake to correct, but they were committed to taking as much money as they could get. They just blame U-haul and I spent days trying to get my money back that they took. I forgot to take a picture of my miles, and they took advantage of that. It is obvious, they sell everything from eggs to rental trucks to tires. It seems likely that they do little scams to keep themselves in business and grasp what they can to stay afloat. Please save yourself the trouble and just rent from the actual U-Haul store in Chapel Hill or at least keep strict documentation for when it comes to dispute their scam attempts. I couldn't be more disappointed in how they handled this.

Huge "shout out" for Triangle Tires and Paschall Farm on Hwy. 54. My service truck for Compass Rose Mobile RV Service broke down just before the July 4th holiday this month. Extensive repairs had to be done such as replacing the turbo, including the intercooler hoses and the fresh air intake hoses. Upon beginning this task many problems were noted such as broken sensors and sloppy workmanship from an out of state auto repair shop. The FICM, EGR and back pressure sensor also had to be replaced. This was a huge undertaking when Triangle Tire was also swamped with the normal 4th of July week of business. Kathy Volte and Gina Paschall worked night and day before the holiday, during the holiday and after getting my truck back on the road for me. They had to endure broken mounts, seized parts and bolts, screw ups on parts being delivered by the parts houses and extremely hot day/night time temperatures. Through all of this they persevered and now my truck purrs like a kitten! I am so super happy with the professionalism in how they handled this very difficult repair and the timely response in getting my truck FIXED! I highly recommend Triangle Tire and Paschall Farm for all of y
